£11,001 – £13,008 (FTE £22,001 - £26,016) 18.5 hours per week

Working as part of a comprehensive approach to promoting mental wellbeing within Eden Mind, our therapy services aim to support individuals to develop resilience, coping skills and to combat the effects of distress. The service will form part of an ongoing development of support and organisational practice within Eden Mind that aims to develop our philosophy and values in line with emerging wellbeing models.

The postholder, based at Eden Mind, will have responsibility for the development and management of a small therapy service supporting people experiencing mental distress, and carers, in the district of Eden. The service will provide talking and holistic/complementary therapies, learning of life skills, and relevant group based interventions. The service will be primarily provided by well trained and supported volunteer counsellors and complementary therapists, as well as by the co-ordinator and relevant sessional staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a fresh and alternative counselling and therapy provision within the area and to make a real difference to the lives of local people.
